When I founded Special Provisions, I set out to fill a gap in education—combining legal and practical concepts to provide real-world guidance that professionals can immediately use in their practice. After 17 years as an attorney, real estate agent, title company owner/operator, and husband to a caring and driven broker who was quick to say "stop being a lawyer and help me get this deal closed," I learned that real success in real estate doesn’t come from just knowing the rules—it comes from understanding how to apply them in the real world.
Serving as Co-Chair of the Texas Real Estate Commission Broker-Lawyer Committee, teaching classes across the state of Texas, and litigating cases in the courtroom showed me how critical great education is to our industry’s future.
